One robot, many tasks: the Robotic Quick Exchange Arm
A single robot arm can carry fixtures, grippers and tools, and change between them without losing its datum.
Automation usually means one robot per job. The Robotic Quick Exchange Arm takes a different approach: one robot arm performs many tasks, and the changeover between them is quick and repeatable.
What the arm can carry
The module supports production jigs, pneumatic or electric grippers, and pneumatic or electric hand tools. The robot picks up what the next task needs and puts down what it no longer does.
How it holds
A proprietary oil circuit combined with an air-pressure lock clamps the module. Repeatable accuracy reaches 0.005 mm, and a two-piece set provides 4,000 kg of fixture clamping force. The datum zero point stays unchanged between tasks, and the system compensates positioning and clamping automatically.
Results to expect
INNGRIT specifies a 90% reduction in workpiece changeover time compared with manual changeover, because the robot does the swap and the reference does not move.

Built for unmanned operation
A robot cannot wipe a plate. Pairing the arm with plates that have the patented AIR option means integrated air-blow cleaning removes debris automatically before each fixture lands. See keeping plates clean for routine care.
