Pitch 52 or Pitch 96: which plate do you need?
The pitch sets the stud size, the clamping force class and the plate sizes available. Here is how the two compare.
INNGRIT zero-point plates come in two main pitches. Pitch refers to the spacing of the clamping positions across the plate. It sets which stud you use, how much force the plate can hold, and how large the plate can be. Every plate in both ranges is 27 mm thick, with positioning accuracy below 0.005 mm.

Clamping forces are maximum values from the catalogue. The patented AIR option is available on both pitches.
Choose Pitch 52 when
- Parts and fixtures are small to medium, and a compact plate leaves more room around the part.
- Standard clamping force of up to 1,000 kg on air (1,500 kg on oil) is enough for your cuts.
- You are working on small machines or with frequent changeovers of light fixtures.
Choose Pitch 96 when
- Fixtures are larger or heavier, or cutting loads are higher.
- You need a bigger footprint, up to the 384 × 384 mm Grid Plate.
- You want the stronger 16 mm stud and the higher clamping force classes.
If you need both
You do not have to choose one pitch for the whole shop. Adaptor plates bring Pitch 96 mounting to a Pitch 52 plate, and a Dual-Pitch 52&96 multi plate carries both. For other brands of zero-point systems, Universal 52 and Universal 96 plates use a universal pull stud.
As a reference point, INN02479 is a Ø130 × 27 mm Pitch 52 round plate weighing 3.82 kg, while INN02658 is a 384 × 384 × 27 mm Pitch 96 Grid Plate weighing 32.25 kg.
